During week 42 all the little kids in Denmark have fall vacation - to be more precise all the little kids, the stay-at-home-mums and all the friends who attend the I-want-to-become-a-school-teacher-school. So Lene, the stay-at-home-mum, and Samuel, the little kid, took the train 5 hours up to Aalborg to visit Nathalie, the friend who attends the I-want-to-become-a-school-teacher-school.
Samuel enjoyed himself tremendously. Nathalie had provided very well for him. She had borrowed a babybed disguised as a tent - true story! He slept inside the little tent, and it is really a travelbabybed. He had a great time in there.
Nathalie had also borrowed a high chair for the little guys meals and a car seat so we could cruise around Aalborg. She didn't have a bathtub, so Mr. SAmuel got to experience the comforts of her kitchen sink. Initially he was quite shocked, but after a while he calmed down and enjoyed himself with his toys and wash cloths.
Strangely enough we didn't really take any pictures there. On the last night Lene did however take this picture after a little crafting session. Nathalie had discovered the joys of making felt food and had created this little layers cake and was in the process of making a big layered cake - You can see it laying there with the candle already attached. Lene made a fried egg, sunny side up and then she went to watch the rest of Zorro - the legend. There is a reason we don't have cable at home!
Samuel behaved pretty well on the traintrip. He even took a little nap - travelling is exhausting. But he was happy to be home again and be able to crawl around after sitting on Lenes lap or on his little seat for 5 hours.
So once more, everyone is home, happy and relaxed and ready for new adventures.
