Let the christmassing begin

We decorated the house and now we are ready for christmas to begin! You can see some of the decorations if you clik here.

On the first Sunday in the advent we lighted the first candle and had dinner in the glow of our candle. It was funny sitting here starting our first christmas together as a family. Samuel enjoyed the whole thing a lot.

The following day he did, however, get quite unhappy when he wasn't allowed to play with any of the glass baubles. He then got his own little plastic bauble. Then he was happy again. It must be nice to live such a life, where a purple plastic bauble makes everything all right again.

Samuel finally started to show an interest in books. Or well, he has always enjoyed biting them, but now he likes to sit down with us and look in the books. Here Mike and Samuel are reading a little book about bathtime. On every page there are items you can touch, like a piece of towel or a shiny soap bubble. Samuel finds that fascinating, especially the page with the towel on.

Earlier today we tried to get some good pictures of Samuel wearing his new hat. He looks so cute in it, but we never get any pictures of it, since we always seem to forget our camera in the appartment. But today he kept moving around. Finally Lene turned him upside down and we ended up with some decent pictures, as you can see.

Today Lene had to prepare some things for the christmas party at our church tomorrow, so Mike took Samuel out to visit the ducks at the lake around the corner. This time however, Mike remembered the camera and took these cool pictures of the hat and of the lovely Samuel. As you can see he tends to get quite excited and hangs out over the edge of his buggy. We are very grateful for the seatbelt in the buggy.

Have a super weekend!
