Last week Martha and Marco came to visit. They brought along their adorable little boy Alessandro. Martha is an old, old friend of my family and it seems she has been there for all the great and not to great moments in my life.
Because of that it seemed very fitting that after she had watched me go through hours of contractions and in the end helped me into the cab that took me to the hospital where I a few hours later gave birth to Samuel, she went to the pharmacy to buy the pregnancy test, that confirmed that she was pregnant with Alessandro. Whew, that was a long sentence, but it was also a pretty busy day!
It was great to spend time with all three of them. We spent one day in Dyrehaven, where we ate, walked the big forest, saw some animals and finished off with big ice creams. The day after Martha and I went to the movies with my sister, while the men stayed home and looked after the small men.
Waiting for lunch to be served. Alessandro was a little more interested in Samuel that Samuel liked. He kept trying to get his attention, but Samuel remained uninterested. I wonder how he is going to react when there is another baby in the house, a baby who isn't leaving!
Come on, the guy is cute. Those big, brown eyes. You can tell his dad is Italian.
Martha and Marco. And I have no explanation for why I didn't get them in the same picture. I mean, they were even laying next to each other. It wouldn't have been that difficult.
While I played with Marcos iPhone (uh, it got mastermind on it), Alessandro read a book, Martha and Marco took a nap and Samuel and Mike went out on an adventure. Aren't the trees in the background amazing? They are several hundred years old. It is fascinating to imagine all the things and changes these old trees have witnessed.
