A new company

This weekend was Fastelavn (The Danish version of Halloween) and the Brandt family was very excited. We even got matching costumes!

This is part of Samuels costume; overalls and felt tools. The plan was to dress out as builders from "Brandt Construction".

We got some tools, some in felt and some real ones, a yellow plastic bobcat, matching overalls with our company name on it and went to the Fastelavns party, leaving a sick Mike behind to care for the tiny one.

Samuel tried to crack open the barrel. It didn't work that well and he soon got bored and we went out to explore in the snow.

Afterwards we went inside and looked at some of the activities that were planned.

Samuel was very fascinated by the people who were dunking for apples. I have to admit that it also looked very funny and I very much wish that I had pictures of that.

Samuel looked at the "eat a donut hanging from a string without using your hand"-activity and wanted to try it. He found out very quickly that that was harder than it looked. So after trying very hard and getting two tiny bites of the donut he was very frustrated. I got the donut of the string and we sat down and shared it. Sometimes things can also be too complicated when you are just 2 years old.

He also had a little cap but he refused to wear it. I guess it is the thought that counts. He is not a big fan of dressing up.

And yes, that is my son trying to feed me a felt-saw. As usual I have no explanation!
