Today at church - it was raining, and the raincover had blown of the stroller. And so I stood there with a wet stroller and a child on my arm trying to figure out how to get home without getting Samuel wet and cold.
A sweet lady must have seen my somewhat puzzled expression, because she asked me what was wrong, and I told her of my situation. She then said that today she and her family had come by car, there was just room for two people and would Samuel and I like to have a ride?
Yes, oh yes!
Her two sons put the stroller in the trunk of the car, helped strap Samuel in the carseat and the family then drove me and Samuel to our frontdoor, which is in the opposite direction of their home. They made sure I could balance Samuel and the stroller on my own and then they headed home.
Maybe it was a small thing for them, but it meant so much for me. When I walked to my frontdoor with Samuel once more on my arm I had tears in my eyes.
Those acts of kindness seems to be all around me. And I am so grateful for that.
