Rugbrød

The last week Magnus have been eating gourmet food. Nothing less.

We're talking pasta with cheddar cheese sauce, red lentils with vegetables, corn chowder and thick vegetable soup. For the mornings we have oatporridge with grated apples, bananas or the tasty prune mash with apples and cinnamon.

At times I've helped him by eating the rest of his food. I am not even going to pretend I am doing it for him. It is an act of pure selfishness.

That cheddar cheese sauce with nutmeg in. Yum! And I am quite into the prunes too.
And most important Magnus loves it, and he is eating.

Today, however, I decided to venture out into a new thing.

Rugbrød! A traditional Danish dark bread.

Magnus loved it. With prunes, leverpostej, butter and even bare.

And I am glad that he liked it, but I was also slightly dissapointed. Because I was secretly looking forward to something a little like this.

Recipes from the much loved Gina Ford. Yes, yes, not only can she make children sleep through the night, but she can also make them eat - a lot.
