We are home again. On the one hand I already miss Germany and all the lovely people we've spent time with.
We have been welcomed into the homes of so many wonderful people. We have seen kindness, hospitality, and love in action. Our kids have been loved, taken care of, played with, cuddled, fed and in many instances just plain spoiled!
I feel honered to have spent time with all these people.
But on the other hand it is also great to be home. The washing machine is working its way through our laundry piles, the kids are sleeping, my own bed with my very beloved duvet is waiting patiently for me, and Mike and me are snacking on cookies, grapes and drinking juice.
Because it seems that there are also kind people here in Denmark. Someone filled our fridge with tasty snacks, food and fresh fruits.
And to top it off that person also washed my fridge.
Just between you and me ... I started crying when I realised that. I blame it on some sort of jet-lag or travellers exhaustion. This globetrotting can wear on you.
Either way, I feel like a very fortunate woman.
Samuel loved every minute of the plane trip. And the first toy he showed his dad, when we came home, was his Lego airplane.
When you are 2½ years old you deserve to sit on the window seat.
He was so excited, his little finger pointed at everything we passed. "Look, a car. A car. Look, look. Trailer. Look, look. Plane. Plane. Look. Look. Look". The excitement was endearing, and I hope the other passengers also thought that. If not, then we are sorry he got a little carried away.
I took a lot of pictures on our trip. And by a lot of pictures, I mean A LOT ... you know, approximately 652 pictures.
Yes, the next few days will be all about Frankfurt.
Are you excited?
Good, I knew you would be! And don't worry, there will still be lots of pictures of the small people in our lives.
Auf Wiedersehn.
