Crafting night

Yesterday was the weekly crafting night. And unlike last week, some people came over. I had missed it so, and I was honestly beyond excited.

I love crafting, and my head is always full of great ideas and funky projects. I always have quite a big list of things I want to do and I keep adding to that list. Since it seems that my head thinks up new projects faster than my hands can finish them, I guess the big list isn't going away any day soon.

Yesterday my head was all abuzz with ideas for different projects. Christmas decorations, Butterfly pillows, pink necklaces, more christmas decorations, pom poms, a garland and gift tags. I wanted to do them all.

I managed to do one. *sigh*

The pink necklaces as modelled here by Samuel.

He was watching Postman Pat while I took the pictures. I could have made him wear a crown, drawn a moustache, and added a few bracelets and a ring and he wouldn't have cared.

Oh, and here is Magnus right next to his brother. No reason really, I just thought he looked darn cute and wanted to share the cuteness with you.

Okay, back to the necklaces. They are not for me, as someone actually thought yesterday. I am still a little appalled that someone thought I made them for me. I love pink and sparkly things as much as the next girl, but still ...

Anyway the necklaces are for three little girls, and little girls can get away with wearing pink, sparkly, plastic necklaces. I can't.

I almost wish I could, though.

Why am I making necklaces for little girls, you might wonder.

The explanation is as follows. I offered my friend to make some gifts for her daughters adventcalender - as a mother of two boys, I need outside help to get my fix of everything girly, even if it means volunteering to make gifts - and besided I happened to have some pink beads laying around.

I actually have so many crafting materials laying around that I at times feel a little overwhelmed. And since it would break my heart to throw it out, I am trying to use it up instead. I realise it will take me a decade or five to use it all up, but I am trying. You got to start somewhere, right?

So if anyone else needs a pink necklace, let me know. I have plenty of beads left.
