Craftnight - or not!

Today as we were getting the kids ready for bed, Mike asked me whether today wasn't my weekly crafting night with my friends.

He asked because there were no friends present, just him and me and two charming boys.

He is right. Today is my crafting night and I had a few cool projects planned ... it is almost christmas after all! But there was no one to craft with.

One sweet girl, also known as the important miss Lawperson, were celebrating a special occasion with her boyfriend and some guests. They were having duck for dinner. I had an egg sandwich. I was so very envious of her while I was eating. Especially because I have a hint that her fianceé, mr bombguy, had prepared most of the meal. Nothing beats a homecooked meal - that you didn't cook yourself!

One woman, also known as the super sowing woman, is very busy. Among other projects she is taking a class in woodwork for beekeepers. It is true. Such classes really exist. Hmm, maybe you can say she is busy like a bee right now.
Hopefully her schedule will clear and we'll see her again soon, because she is dearly missed here.

And finally we are missing my wonderful sister and the super babysitter. They are actually so wonderful that they came to our house while we were sick. They changed diapers, did dishes, made sandwiches and porridge, changed some more diapers, did laundry, entertained kids and entertained me. And in return we gave them the virus we had. I am very, very sorry.

To make matters worse our super babysitter even came over on her birthday to take care of us, there was no flags up, no birthday song, no gifts, no nothing. All she got was two tired children and dirty diapers. Yup, happy birthday to you!

I can easily understand if they fire me after this.

Anyway this leads me back to me, being alone on a crafting night.

I ended up doing the dishes, going grocery shopping after the kids were tucked in and even folding a little laundry. There was no crafting.

I miss it!

And so I am really looking forward to our next craftnight. Lots of crafting will happen. Of course also a lot of talking, giggling, eating and solving all the problems of the world. While I wait for next week, I might sneak a peak at these handcrafted lovelies over here.

I would like one of each, please.
