Happy Birthday

Last week we celebrated Samuels birthday.

It was two great days, and I am a little sad that we have to wait another 11 months for the next kiddie birthday. Maybe we could do some sort of themed party for Mikes birthday? No?

You want pictures? Yes?

One of the gifts. A sure hit!

Unwrapping gifts - great concentration

More gifts ...

Testing some of the new gifts.

Mike had to be at work early and so we invited Aunt Anne over for breakfast with pancakes. Samuel ate half a pancake and then it was all about the gifts.

We then packed a bag, sent Anne off to work and headed to the Zoo to meet up with Lisbeth for a tour de Zoo. We spend quite a while looking at the monkeys and then Samuel declared he was hungry. Apparently half a pancake doesn't last that long.

We had lunch and went home for naps and Lisbeth joined us later for some playtime. In other words it was an awesome, awesome day and Samuel was almost exhausted with all the attention.

And I may have sung every single birthday song that I know - I also did this a few day before and after his birthday. Who says you can only have a birthday song on your birthday?

His favorite is a Danish one where you sing about playing instruments, clapping or saying hurray - he prefers the drums, but also seem quite pleased with the clapping and the loud Hurrays!

You gotta love our little birthday boy.
