A pretty perfect gift

Mikes birthday came and went. The official birthday outing to the beach is also over. And while I could tell you all about that, I know you all are wondering what I got Mike for his birthday this year?

Right, guys?

Okay, I am going to tell you amyway, because I am so pleased with myself. And with the help of another very important individual!

Because for Mikes birthday Mikes mother came by for a visit. Yes, that was me and Siegrits gift for Mike. Pretty cool, right?

It was so much fun. Both seeing Mikes face, hearing his excitement but also having Siegrit over. The kids enjoyed it so much, and despite the language challenges Samuel and Oma Siegrit hit it off. Race tracks were built, train tracks too, a few books were read and there was a lot of swinging. A lot!

Magnus showed off his dangerous lion roar, his mooh, the bark, the meow and so forth. He loved the book about a sheep living on a farm that she brought with her, and just this morning he chased me around the house, trying to make me read it too him.

I think having Siegrit over was actually a gift for the entire family, so thank you, Mike, for sharing your gift with all of us.


And yes, this post really should have pictures. However, I just threw a bachelor party, the pile of dirty dishes in my kitchen are scaring me, and my bed is calling my name.
