The New Art Installation

For a year or so Mike have been planning a big art installation on one of the walls in our livingroom. Obviously Master Painter Samuel was to be involved in the proces, and it was to be a big art installation.

A few weeks ago the work started on it. First boards were acquired, then a little planning and finally a few coats of white paint. And then Mike and Samuel were ready to create.

For some reason I have no pictures of the actual painting proces but I can assure you that Master Painter Samuel was very excited, almost as excited as Mike was.

The Before Picture. Big wall, small picture.

I know, I know, with style like this I really should be an interior decorator.

Getting it up there! Mike and Master Painter Samuel preparing to hang up the picture. You can tell, this is great art, right?

Finally up. Bolted to the wall, just in case some art thieves should get any ideas. This is an Samuel/Mike Original. It is going to be worth millions in a few years!

You can totally tell what the picture is, right? It is obviously a blue car, driving past a tree on the way to the beach. The car is for Samuel, the beach is for Mike, and I am thinking the tree was a result of their creative juices running amok!

Can I just say how awesome it is to be married to a man who is having the time of his life while painting a picture with our three years old son. And who is excited to have their picture up on the wall.

I love their picture because of the story behind it, because of the joy I saw in my sons eyes, because it makes me smile everytime I see it, and because it is just so darn awesome! I mean, a bright blue car with a smiling man inside. A certain hit!
