The list of important events

* Mike is well again.

I am so grateful. I needed a hand in keeping these kids occupied. After a week in a summerhouse, surrounded by uncles, aunts, grandparents and cousins they seem shocked that they actually have moments throughout the day where they are not entertained.

I know, I know. Yet another item for the "Bad mother List".

Magnus at the summerhouse, surrounded by Charlotte and his two cousins.

With company like this suddenly just laying on your blanket is fun. Laying on the blanket at home while I am doing the dishes or cooking doesn't seem as interesting to him.

And look here.

I gave Samuel a bath, and before I knew it 5 people were gathered in the bathroom.

Samuel loved it, and when I suggested that he got out of the tub after almost 1½ hours he was very reluctant.

His fingers looked like raisins when I finally got him out.

And then there is this. Mike and Samuel on the beach, heading out to the water.

It looks innocent enough, right?

But if you look closer you see them. They were there, just waiting for Samuel to come play with them.

Ahh, all the excitement!

The kids miss them, and me to. I wish they were all still here. *Sigh*

... Erh, right. This was supposed to be a short list of important events. I guess I got a little carried away.

Anyway back to the list.

Are you ready? Okay.

* Magnus got his first tooth today. Hurray!

* In celebration of the recent increase in Mikes wellness level, we took the kids out in the garden.

Samuel drove around on his scooter and Mike and him played a little soccer. Magnus took a nap, and I ate cherries and discussed important matters with a former daycare collegue. It was close to being a perfect afternoon.

* I harvested our second cucumber! I love growing my own food! I feel like a super farmer ... Even if it is only a cucumber plant behind our couch.

We also have some tomato plants but they have been thrown out of the house and are now living in exile down in the garden. I have very little hope for them.

You have no idea of how much I wish I was kidding with that last paragraph. But it is all very true. My inner farmergirl is still too shocked to talk about it, but I can reveal that it has something to do with Mike and hayfever.

* I lost 1.7 kilo in a day. Either my bad relationship with the scale was due to some serious fluid retention or I am a super dieter.

Last time I was on a diet I ended up gaining weight ... and one baby. Even though I absolutely adore the baby, the whole point of the diet was to loose weight! Not to gain 16 kilos. I am ready for some sort of successexperience with the whole dieting business. Therefore I have decided that I am a super dieter.

Fluid retention. Ha!

Aren't you glad, I share these things with you?
