I just have a little more to say about Mrs. Nathalies birthday. Or rather, about the preparations which is sometimes the most important part.
I wanted to make some super tasty treats for her birthday. And when you want to make good stuff, you get the most talented people to help you.
Introducing Chef Samuel.
Seen here carefully studying a cookbook for new recipes and tips.
He was a great help. He supervised me when I made the dough for the rolls and cinnamon rolls, and quality checked the ingredients as we went. He seemed very content with both the sugar, and the salt, and a little sceptical of the flour.
Afterwards he helped measure sugar and held the mixer while beating the eggwhites for the meringue.
But this was where he really excelled.
In the very important clean up phase.
And he seemed to enjoy that too.
But I have to say I understand completely. I cleaned off the other myself. Tasty!
He had a slight problem with his fingers getting sticky, but I am sure all great chefs have some flaw somewhere.
The meringue ended up as a pavlova, in the company of a thick chocolate sauce, cream, greek yoghurt, and passionfruit. It was pretty close to heaven!
And speaking of heaven ...
The earrings Nathalie got.
*Sigh*
Maybe we should just have one minute of silence!
