I've been busy. There's been all kinds of projects lately. Some projects have been more succesfull than others.
Like today Samuel and me tried to build a funky tower using all his Lego bricks. We came very close, but do you know how many Lego bricks, flowers, animals, cars and so on that kid have? I could probably have finished the tower tonight while he was sleeping, had he not accidentally knocked it over. The tragedy!
Or yesterday when I wanted to make cupcakes. I found an amazing recipe with cookie dough bits in the actual cupcake. However, as I mixed the dough I realised I was missing several ingredients.
The white sugar was one thing. I replaced it with brown sugar. The dark chocolate was a whole other thing.
I seemed to remember that we had half a kilo of dark chocolate. I looked everywhere for it, but it was gone. Hey now, don't look at me. It wasn't me. I am on a diet! I found some milk chocolate to use instead.
As I went back to mix the batter, I realised I was also missing 2 eggs. Needless to say, no cookie dough cupcakes were baked in our house.
One thing that did however work out very well for us was a shepherds pie I made for dinner. I never made it before, but I can assure you I will dream of that tonight. And many more nights to come.
And had we had any white sugar, dark chocolate and 2 eggs I am sure I would also have dreamed of cookie dough cupcakes. *Sigh*
Let it go, just let it go!
