CHRISTMAS!

This year we spent christmas with my dad, his wife and her children. My kind dad picked us up in the morning. He is so nice to us. But I guess it also made a difference that I am incredibly pregnant!

Me and my new driving license steered the car all the way home to his house, and I am so grateful for every chance I have to practice driving. When you don't have a car yourself, it can be a little difficult to practice.

At my dads house we relaxed, talked and relaxed some more. At 4 pm we watched the Disney Show, which is a tradition in our family - and most of Denmark I think. I had a little nap on the couch meanwhile. Doing nothing all day can be exhausting!

Afterwards we had a nice dinner prepared by Conni.

We had turkey, gravy, white potatoes and sugared potatoes (yum), red cabbage and a nice tasty waldorf salad. It was absolutely yummy all of it.

As you can tell on this picture, Samuel was more than ready to eat. He had his hands folded and was ready to pray!

When Samuel was done eating, he left the table and crawled under Mikes chair and laid down. We had planned to open up a few gifts with him before he went to bed, but when I saw that little red-cheeked boy lying under the chair, we skipped that plan and instead we put him to bed while the others cleared off the table.

I think it took him a few minutes and then he was fast asleep.

We then had the traditional ris a la mande, which is a rice dessert with almonds, cream and vanilla. One whole almond is hidden, and the one who finds it gets a little gift. This year my dad found it using a little bit of sneakyness. Fortunately the gift was chocolate and he kindly shared with us.

Oh, and by popular request: This is how me and the belly looked 6 days before my duedate.

In the background you see my stepmother slaving away at the stove ... I always thought it should be the other way around!

We then went upstairs to the christmas tree with an insane amount of gifts. This here is the view from my chair - and yes, that are my socks, and yes, I have Disney socks on.

Normally you say that the older you get, the smaller the packages. And it also seemed that all the big packages were for Samuel.

Although it is not entirely true.

This big, heavy package was for my sister. It was a vacuum cleaner!

My stepmother opening a gift. I just love the paper. Doesn't it make you smile?

My dad and me sitting in our comfortable chairs.

Mike was so kind to unwrap most of the gifts for Samuel. This one, though, was actually for both him and Samuel. Mike had stated that he would like to have t-shirts and toys that he and Samuel could play with.

See, how happy he is. I had to be a little bit strict to stop him from opening the boxes with Lego, while we were unwrapping gifts.
