Easter

This easter have been filled with a lot of good company, a fantastic general conference, nice food - and unfortunately bad weather. So we haven't really been out much.

Today we had great plans for a big outing but because the weather looked a bit uncertain we decided to stay close to home.

And so after the midday nap was done, we got ourselves ready and went out.

Samuel insisted on going on his little scooter. We decided to let him, since we could always put the scooter on the buggy if he at one point didn't want to drive it anymore. That was not a problem though. Not at all.

That boy loves his scooter.

Our original plan was to go to the park, but we quickly realised that even though Samuel was enjoying himself tremendously, he wasn't very fast and it would be the kids bedtime by the time we reached the park. So we decided to go to the lake just around the corner from where we live.

That had the added benefit of taking us past this fascinating store that sells interesting items for dogs and their owners.

Why would a dog ever, ever, ever need a sequinced outfit?

Or a yellow raincoat for that matter?

And even though Samuel had enjoyed the trip on his scooter,

Sometimes it is just nice to run around for a little while with your dad.

And finally, because no blogpost of mine is complete without some sort of thing I can't explain*, let me share this picture of what Samuel ate after we returned from our outing.

Why do the sandwiches look like that? What was my little boy thinking? What? Why? I am confused.

* although the dog outfits were actually quite puzzling ...
