The sentence of the day is "tegn bii" meaning "draw car". Samuel loves drawing, and he loves cars - and drawing cars? Is there anything better to do?
So today while I was doing the dishes I heard Samuel say "Tegn bii" approximately 50 times. He was sitting on his high chair with some paper and crayons by the table. I smiled at his enthusiasm and imagined him sitting there doing cool, colourful drawings.
I checked on him once. I even drew him a car. He had made some cool drawings. He said "tegn bii" another 10 times while I was with him.
I love his excitement. And I think it is great that the first two-word sentence he is making is "tegn bii". I am sure he has a creative little soul.
Today he also said "mere vand" meaning more water. He is saying so many things now and it is fantastic to be able to communicate better with him. He is such a wonderful child.
Joshua is getting better and better at laying on his stomach and holding his own head. He seems to be smiling all the time, and is even beginning to giggle. I think that has got to be one of the coolest sounds in the world. He is so cheerful.
A friend of mine came over today and played with him for a while. He seemed to love that, all smiles and happiness.
She even changed his diaper three times and made me meatballs. I loved that!
Life is just good! Isn't it?
Finally, I was planning to show a picture of my new table cloth. I got it last week at the fabric store. It is bright yellow with white dots and I absolutely love it. It feels like the sun is shining when we have it out.
Maybe I'll post the picture tomorrow. I am not ready to think too much about my beautiful table cloths right now, since Samuel drew on it this morning. Apparently he felt that a drawing of a car was needed there. I tend to disagree! Right not the words "tegn bii" sounds a bit scary.
