A busy, wonderful day

Today was awesome! It included brownies, loads of nice visits, fantastic crafting, two content children, and a sweet, sweet husband.

I almost wish I could clone today!

Tomorrow I'll tell you all about the visit from the "sundhedsplejerske" (health visitor) and the day after there's the story about the fancy brownie. It includes chickpeas - fascinated? Worried? Both?

But for today can I tell about the cool crafting? Please? Pluuurease?

Good, thank you.

Every Monday a few friends come over. The first ones come after the kids midday nap and then we spent the afternoon cooking and playing with the kids. Then there is dinner and the kids goes to bed. Mike normally retreats to his little office upstairs and then the treats, the projects and all the crafting materials come out. There are loads of good conversation, creativity and such a positive atmosphere.

Do you see why I love crafting night?

Basicly it is heaven!

Today was extra interesting as my super sowing woman came with a little project. She had to make 4 open faced sandwiches in felt for her sister-in-law*. Since I have a slight obsession with felt food, I quickly volunteered to give my super sowing woman a hand. Oh, the excitement!

It was so much fun working on these sandwiches in felt. I love trying to make things I've never done before, like create a little radish or an avocado slice?

And honestly, I think the result is amazing. I am not sure the picture does them justice, but they were pretty spectacular.

But this really didn't help my felt food addiction. Not at all. I think it actually made it worse.

I think that Samuel needs a little play kitchen filled with felt food. Yes, I think that would be a good idea! Loads and loads of felt food.

*For those of you wondering why any woman (apart from me and my addiction)would want 4 open faced sandwiches then the super sowing womans sister-in-law and her business partner will wear them tomorrow on a headband while they give a lecture for some German journalists about Danish food. And no, I am not making this up.
