Samuel and Mike looking at Magnus being measured and weighed.
As mentioned yesterday, we just had a visit from our health visitor. She is such a charming and wonderful lady, the type I want to be like when I grow up.
In the very first months as a new mother she helped me feel confident and relaxed in my new role. Something I was lacking! And when I had Magnus, I was so exhausted, and I felt very overwhelmed. I seem to remember crying most of the first days, maybe even weeks. Once more she made me feel like I was good enough and did alright as a mother for both Samuel and Magnus.
If I could, I would probably make her move in with me.
Magnus after he was measured. He grew 16 cm since his birth and now measures 68 cm.
She asked me how things were going and then we talked about the upcoming proces of introducing Magnus to solids. She was full of helpful tips and tricks to the transition a little easier for both of us.
She then praised both my boys, saying they looked happy and content. I probably grew a full inch right then and there.
She wrapped Magnus in a white cloth in order to weigh him, and all you could see was his little toes
He weighs 7.350 grams. He was just perfect, in her opinion.
And he is strong, she said. He takes after his father, I am sure.
She also managed to completely charm the kids. Magnus was all smiles, and Samuel was very fascinated by her. I am sure they would love for her to live here.
Her visit really started off my day in a nice way. What a wonderful way to start the week.
Do you think they have stickers that say "I love my health visitor"?
No?
