We visited these guys when we were in Germany. They served us tasty soup in charming soup bowls. They were lovely company. At the end of our visit, Heinz Kraft says to me that I am doing a good job. I was not really sure what he is talking about, but he adds to it, and tells me that we have wonderful, natural, happy kids, and that he can tell that I am a good mother.
It is not often that I lack words, but there I did. I think that is the biggest compliment I have ever gotten. I couldn't think of anything clever to say in return, so I just padded his arm. Besides it is pretty hard to speak, when you are fighting back tears.
Anyway, I am not telling this because I want to brag. Actually I think I've shared enough stories of me doing crazy things to or with the kids, so you should know better.
Rather, I am thinking, what a wonderful world we are living in, what kind and generous people that surrounds us and how fortunate we are. I wish I can do the same for others as they both did for us and for me. They just made me want to be a better person and a better mother.
What are the chance I can make them, and a few other wonderful people, move to Denmark, so they are closer to us?
