My sister came by today for a short visit. Before she left she managed to wake my huge and everlasting love for all things Jane Austen.
Evil, evil sister.
And so, instead of sterilising bottles, hanging up laundry and picking up the house, I watched Persuasion, the new version. And a few selected scenes from the old version.
And I managed to squeeze in an episode of the new Emma series. I LOVE IT!
My favorite line from that episode: "That man is so full of himself that I am surprised he can stay on that horse."
How can you not love a film where a sentence of such charm is being uttered. You gotta love Jane Austen.
I suggest you watch this instead of doing laundry. It is much more fun!
