New Years Eve - and making christmas treats ages ago

Happy New Years ...

I had a great 2010, and I could spend the next few weeks posting highlights from it. But honestly, it would be much easier to just scroll through the posts in this blog.

Yup, I am all about being lazy here.

Besides if I would spend the next weeks posting highlights I would miss out on some of the cool events that are going to happen in January. For instance a certain little person is turning 1! It is going to be awesome.

Mike gave me some tractor-shaped candles for cakes, so I am totally prepared. And yes, you really know you are a mother when such a gift makes you really excited. I also got some sugar skulls, but I am saving those for later to do a whole pirate theme for Samuel. To top it all of I even got a gift certificate for a cake decorating course, so I should be prepared for a little cake or two. 2011 is going to be pretty interesting.

Okay, I am getting all carried away talking about all my christmas gifts. I just wanted to show some pictures of an event from earlier this month, an event I didn't get around to blog about because so many other things were happening.

I know, I know. The busy life of me. Or maybe it's just because my brain can't handle too many things.

No, that couldn't be it. It must be my busy life.

And so without further ado ... the Day we made Christmas Treats

Call your 15 closest friends, tell them to bring marzipan, nougat, chocolate and sprinkles and come over.

Get everything out on a table. And start!

It is easy peasy! And so much fun.

Samuel was sitting next to his favorite friend, and was having the time of his life.

And you would not believe the amount of sprinkles I found underneath their chairs afterwards. It was a shocking amount! Shocking!

My friend Nathalie was there with her husband and her little babyboy, Adam. Cute, cute little boy!

You may remember her from this post.

And here she is. Notice how I posted the picture of baby-Adam before her? That's what being a mother is all about, I am told. She might as well get used to that.

Oh, and on a completely different note - I just realised that I have the same top, only in red. Well, she always had excellent taste.

And the blanket she is holding? I'm gonna get back to that one later, because that is something that deserves a blogpost of its own.

So in short - Christmas treat making day: We had a great time producing christmas treats to last us a long time. There was excellent company, and I couldn't have asked for a better day.

I think Mr. Bomb Guy put it very nicely with this t-shirt: Come to the dark side, we have cookies ...

Ha ha ha ha! I think that is a good way to end 2010!
