What is happing on these parts

On Saturday we went for an outing to collect herbs and plants in nature. We did really well, in my humble opinion.

We served friends and family a nice meal the following day using the ingredients we had picked. It was pretty interesting - among other things I learned the hard way that when you pick nettles, you should not only wear gloves, but thick gloves.

Above, some of the plants we picked. Below, Samuel and Mike in the bus on the way home.

Pictures of some of the foods we made are right here.

Yesterday Samuel, Magnus and me went to the zoo. It was rather cold and there was a lot of visitors, so we only stayed a few hours. But we all had a great time. I love living so close to the zoo, especially for Magnus' sake. He loves going there and looking at all the animals, and he knows the names of pretty much all the animals there.

And today super Lisbeth came over to play with the kids. While I baked cakes for a wedding cake, Lisbeth hung out with Magnus and Winnie the Pooh.

Notice how Magnus has a lion in his hand. Typical him. And Samuel in the Winnie the Pooh outfit - typical him as well.

So as you can see, life is pretty much awesome as always : )

Oh, and remember the countdown? They are coming tomorrow. The excitement is tangible! Can't wait ...
