When you go on and on about your lovely visit to your friends amazing house, I think it is only fair to show pictures of the amazingness.
And so I returned to her house yesterday, this time armed with my camera. I am not going to make it sound like it was a great sacrifice to go back or pretend that I did it all for you.
It wasn't. I didn't.
I went there for me. I love it there. They have ducks wandering around in their garden. Need I say more?
In their garden they have an abundance of plants; tomatoplants, all kinds of herbs, potatoes, chilies, beets, asparagues, carrots, apricots, grapes, olives and so on.
A chicken coop is planned.
Me and my 5 tomato plants are fascinated. My book on self-sufficiancy is envious.
My friend is a great cook, and this time she served a delicious cake with rhubarb she had gotten from the garden a few hours earlier. Last time there was pancakes with freshly made honey, dried cherries, nuts and four different flavours of homemade icecream. Tasty.
She is going to have bees. Bees! Does it get more exciting? I am already planning fieldtrips there for the kids and me.
She is excellent at making things from scratch, whether it is cooking, jewelry, knitting or sowing. In fact she is also known as the super sowing woman.
And add to that her awesome and unexpected style.
Like these two green cupboards she bought while working in Thailand. I love green so I was absolutely sold when I saw them. And then she opened them up to reveal the inside covered in beautiful silk in green and golden tones.
Oh yes, please!
This poster hangs over her bed.
It is from her old website where she sold her own jewelry.
I remember seeing this picture on her website a while ago and falling completely in love with the necklace.
When I told her of my great love for the necklace, she said, she actually still had it. Would I like to see it?
Would I ever?
I wore it all night!
I also wore this little baby for a while. It sparkles!
It sparkles a lot!
One time I asked Mike if I could have it. Of course, he said. He is so nice. It might just be a little out of our gift budget.
And then there are all the pearls.
Pretty!
I actually have more then she does. Mine are just all made out of plastic and glass. I am sure it is almost as good.
Speaking of glass.
How great is this?
Imagine an engagement ring with this in?
Hee hee hee!
Hope you all had a great and sunny day!
