Yes, I have the Nikon VR 18-55 lens that came with the camera (there is also a version with out the VR-part). I think it is a great all-around lens. I am dreaming of a macro lens some day in the future, but this one works really well! Are you getting something like that too?
I don't know what I'll get. Ideally I am between a 18-55mm and 17-85mm. The second will give me more zoom but it's more expensive. I'll rather get the smaller and enjoy taking picture to family and friends... We'll see in the future. :-)

An Canon EOS 450D is on its way to our family in a couple of weeks. We just need to buy the linses. The rest is an hand-over from my father-in-law.
